About

Hey, I’m David

You’ve found my little corner of the internet; a place where I share my thoughts, experiences, and bits of creativity. It’s an honest space to just be myself.

I’ve wanted to start a blog for years. I never knew what to write about, so I just didn’t start. But lately I’ve felt the pull to hear my own voice again, to reconnect with myself, to get curious. So here I am.

More than anything, this is about taking small steps towards a better, calmer, more meaningful like, drawing on Japanese ideas and teachings that resonate with where I’m heading.

There’s no master plan here. Just progress. Presence. Perspective.

What I write about

This blog covers a bit of everything that matters to me, like:

  • Personal development and reflection
  • The outdoors, adventures, and exploring new places
  • Photography, usually tied to being present and noticing things
  • Tinkering with gadgets, Raspberry Pi projects, coding
  • Light gaming (I went from PC to MacBook and Nintendo Switch… Yeah I said it, gaming on a Mac!)
  • Whatever else flows in and out of my mind

I tend to move between interests like the current of a river. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, but always flowing.

A bit about me

I live in Wales, UK. I’m self-employed and have a small family.

I spend a lot of time thinking, wandering, and trying things out. I love being in nature. I love making things. I love figuring out what feels right, even if it takes a while.

This site is my way of making space for all of that.
