    This Is My Beginning

For years, I’ve wanted a place that was my own. A space not shaped by algorithms or trends, but by curiosity, creativity, and truth. So here we are…
A blogging site, a place to share myself; my thoughts, experiences and creativity. It is a place as much for you as it is for me. A place to read, to build a community, to inspire and share. A space where I hope we can hold each other accountable. But most importantly? A place for safety and fun.

Why now, why write a blog when social media is thriving and the “go to” for updates and information? When the internet is a wash with other blogs, websites and information… both human and AI?

The short of it; why not? It has been something that I have wanted to do, something that I feel I have needed to do. But the internal battle in my mind has always whispered: You’ve got nothing to offer. No one will read. No one will care.

While that might be true… this is still an opportunity for me to express, vent, and maybe even heal. And in the process? Maybe I’ll catch someone’s attention.
I must have caught yours, right?

I also feel right now is a great time to start, there is a major shift in my life, a new energy being born, and as in the book Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon, I want to show my work, my process and learning experience.

I’m going to be covering a wide range of topics, main focusing around person development, creativity and exploration. There are plenty of thing that intrigue me, and I’d love to share them:

    • Personal development – something in the work for a number of years, more recently through after hitting a personal low.
    • Outdoors – I love exploring new places and seeing new sights, made better with a camera in hand.
    • Photography – a hobby started from exploring and wanting to share, something that I have lost contact with in recent years. Time to change that!
    • Tinkering – recently exploring raspberry pi’s including the server for this website.
    • Gaming – I’ve been a light gamer since the 90’s.
    • Reading – yes I’m a slow reader, but I still enjoy a good book with a cuppa in hand.

I am pretty sure this will all change and refine over time, just like the schedule (or lack of one). I’m not committing to a fixed routine right now, I need to learn my own pace and see what time I have to work on a blog post. That said, I will be posting at least once a month with the aim of weekly posts. Over time with tweaks and learning a real format and schedule will build into place.

My writing “style” will be true to me: informal, real, dyslexic, and probably full of side-thoughts and stray comments.
